All services provided by I'm for Kids Team are made available by accessing funding through Alberta Education and/or Children's Services. Each ministry has options for funding based upon a child's identified needs. Eligibility for funding is determined by the child's age, severity of needs, and/or diagnosis.
I'm for Kids Team provide early intervention services using a community-based model. We do not have a designated preschool site. Our children attend their neighborhood's preschool, daycare, or day home and our multi-disciplinary team provides programming within those environments. Daily support is provided by a Special Needs Assistant who implements goals and objectives as outlined by the professional team.
I'm for Kids Team provides home-based programming options for children with PUF funding to complement the educational support provided at preschool.
Two home-based programming options are offered through FSCD funding to children who meet the criteria for either Aide Supports or Specialized Services.
I'm for Kids Team provides programming support out in the community to give children an opportunity to practice skills learned at preschool and at home under the supervision of a Special Needs Assistant.
